whats the difference between a satellite and a tecra toshiba notebook?

I am trying to purchase a notebook but don't know which one. I have seen in college that many students use their notebooks in class and at the same time the internet withou using any cables? Can some one tell me how it works do I need to buy an adaptor or what other thing?

There are several differences as far as components and hardware, too many to go into here. If you want more information, you can go to the Toshiba website I put below. It all depends on what you want in a notebook.

As for wireless internet, most notebooks these days have an internal wi-fi card that will allow you to connect to a wireless network. If you want internet anywhere though, you'll have to get a wireless broadband card and subscribe to a seperate internet service for that.
