Do you know if i can use an adapter for a three prong plug to a four? i have a kenmore dryer?

I'm trying to convert a three prong plug onto a four, i have a 110 series kenmore dryer. is there an adapter i can use to fit?

older homes used a 3 wire, 3 prong outlet to plug in dryers. newer homes have a 4 wire outlet that the dryers get plugged into. it is a safety requirement by the government and you can buy a new cord for the dryer to fit the new outlet. the 4th wire is a separate ground wire. you can change this yourself by getting a new cord and hooking up the black and red wires to the outside connections. the white wire goes to the center connection and the 4th wire green goes to the cabinet ground.
not a big deal but you can do it yourself. if your not comfortable doing this then call an appliance company and they will do it for you for about 100 bucks.
