Of course that means you have to have your Audio amp turned on all the time when you watch TV....

So, if you want the Audio amp turned off most of the time, you then connect your Cable Box directly into the TV set and use the OPTICAL port to deliver sound to the AMP.....

The downside is when you ADD more things like the PS3 and HD-DVD players....you NEED the amp to switch the devices when you have more than One Device....
