Can a KVM switch mix VGA and Dvi?

I have a new flat-panel monitor, and 2 boxes with DVI + one older box that only has a VGA plug. I want to connect all 3 to a KVM switch...
Are VGA and DVI able to mix/convert in a KVM switch, or is it (as I suspect) all or nothing?
