The original Galaxy has excellent specs and they all carried over to the Lite. This means you will be getting the AMOLED capacitive touch screen display and that alone is something to thank Samsung for.
The network connectivity also runs the full spectrum, you get wireless LAN (WiFi), HSDPA, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. The device also supports A-GPS. The camera has been downgraded from the original 5 mega pixels to 3.2 mega pixels but it still keeps the auto-focus capabilities and the LED flash. As with modern mobile phones, you also have Bluetooth capabilities, a 3.5mm external audio jack and a micro USB slot.
Adjustments from the Original and the Android
The original i7500 Galaxy has an internal storage of 8GB and that is a lot of internal memory space, something that users of the Galaxy are sure to be fond of. The Galaxy Lite however, does not share this very same specification. This is quite unfortunate since aside from the downgraded camera, the Lite mirrors the original Galaxy in all other aspects. The internal memory of the Lite is only 1GB, and the obvious reason why the Lite is named such. At least you can compensate by using a using a high capacity microSD card.
The biggest thing about the Galaxy and Galaxy Lite is the fact that they run the Android operating system. This means you will have the mobile application versions of useful Google services such as Google Mail, GTalk, Google Maps and YouTube streaming videos.
