Hyper-Threading Technology, or 'HT' for short, allows one single P4 CPU to appear as two individual processors to the operating system and to applications. An HT-enabled system appears to the user and OS like a multi-processor (MP) system, and inherits some of the strengths of a multi-processor setup while also introducing some new advantages.
Hyper-Threading is one of Intel's solutions to diminishing returns from pure Mhz gains, and the habits of modern day consumers. While the race for the fastest chip has always been tied closely to the clock speed of CPUs, we all know that it is no longer an absolute indicator of real world performance. Intel has thus looked at the way in which a current day computer is used, and started to target one area specifically: multi-tasking, and multi-threading.
The details of how Hyper-Threading works is beyond the scope of our discussion, but it¡¦s worth trying to depict the theory behind the concept.
The 3.06Ghz chip with HT does NOT physically have two processor cores. Instead, two 'architectural states' for each of the two logical processors share the same processor execution resources. Multiple threads of software applications are processed simultaneously on the chip by each of the logical processors, but all the instructions actually use the same on-die resources. Intel claims that this yields higher processing throughput, because execution resources are not necessarily fully occupied in non-hyper threaded CPUs throughout a linear execution of threads.

What is the best graphic card for my IBM ThinkCentre A51?

You wont be able to get a graphics card that your motherboard supports. PCI 8-bit is the number of connectors that the PCI expess slot has. All PCI cards need 16 connectors thats the standard. PCI express 2.0 has 32 but you dont have a PCI express 2.0 slot. Unless you have an AGP slot which is different from PCI then you wont be able to have a graphics card. But on another note 8500GT is only ~70 dollas.
