HP cp1515n Colour LaserJet Printer

The HP cp1515n is a low price printer compared to other colour lasers on the market for professional use. The CP1515n printer produces professional quality documents with a wide range of colours.

Colours are vibrant and bright with very little haloing. Even the photo print at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi is reasonably reproduced with good shadow detail, a reasonable colour gamut and no apparent banding.

It is not an exceptionally fast printer taking approx 25 seconds to warm up and then it still falls short of the expected ppm speeds.

Printing in colour reduced the speed to an average 5ppm against the manufacturers claim of 8 ppm.

Printing in black gave a print speed of on average 6-10 ppm, still below the manufacturers stated 12 ppm.

The printer uses HP’s Coloursphere toner designed to have spherical particles producing extremely clear, crisp prints.

Toner costs are comparable with other printers of this class.

The HP cp1515n is a very compact printer at only 16” x 18” x 10” and therefore ideal for a small office where space is at a premium.

The printer is very simple to set up. All the toner cartridges come pre-installed, you just need to pull off the orange rings to get them functioning. There is easy access to the tray holding the toners.

The printer comes with genuine PCL 6 and emulated Postscript Level 3, HP Instant-on Technology and a collection of pre-configured shortcuts that allow single click options for general everyday printing of envelopes, cardstock, glossy paper and much more. However, although it states that it is a duplex printer this still has to be performed manually.

What's the best kind of paper for making a realistic A4 poster? I'll use an HP ink jet printer with my PC.

I want to make a realistic looking poster. I have the image ready on my pc and i have an HP ink jet printer. I want the paper to look like the shiny, thin paper that real posters are made from. It has to be A4 sized and not too expensive! Any suggestions? I'm not neccessarily looking for specific brands just the kind of paper. Thanks.

Contact a local paper merchant and ask for some "gloss coated, inkjet compatible" paper. They will have several weights (thickness) to choose from. They will probably not have it in A-4 but you can get some larger sheets and cut it to size.

Paper merchants are the places where print shops go to buy there paper. (((Not office supply stores!!!)))
