Dell Inspiron Laptop, reformatted, no microsoft office, is it usually already downloaded or on CD's?

I've had this Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop for about three years. I reformatted it awhile ago and now just realized that I don't have any microsoft office. No excel, word etc. Generally are these things included on your computer before you get it? Or do they include CD's with the computer. I don't remember if I have the CD's or not.
