Do they make an headphone for people with one ear to use with something like an ipod?

I know, werid question but my finace is half deaf. He wants a ipod but he can't hear half the music due to the way left and right both have different sound coming out of them. Does anyone know of a company that might carry such a thing as a one ear head phone?? It's a pretty common birth defect so I would assume other people would have this problem.
I guess I should mention, he was actually born without and ear and they make a fake one. He doesn't have a place to put the other headphone in his ear.... so it would just be dangling there while he's at the gym. We are really looking for a headphone that only has one ear thing.

I'm no expert, but this shouldn't be a problem. The way headphones split the music up into left and right channels is called 'stereo audio' - sorry to sound patronizing; you probably knew this already.

What you need are headphones which don't split the sound into it's left and right channel, instead playing both channels through one (or both) speakers (ie, non-stereo or 'monaural' or 'mono' headphones).

Most of these headphones are made for either office applications (eg, with a microphone attached) or for mobile phones (also with mic). To work with an i-pod or the like, you need to find one with a 3.5mm jack (plug).
