Colors are vibrant and well-saturated, making the machine a joy to use for photo and video work. and it boasts a relatively high 300 nits of brightness. The Studio XPS 16 has built-in upconverting technology that enables view more clearly. And there is a a pair of 7-watt Dolby 5.1 speakers beside the keyboard which can provided loud and clear audio, but it have some slight audio distortion when we maxed out the volume.

Keyboard, Touch Controls

The Studio XPS 16's keyboard is one of the nicer keyboards I've used on a desktop replacement notebook. Studio XPS 16 uses full-size keyboard, and the speaker set on both side of the keyboard, so the keyboard does not look so great, also equipped with a white LED backlight allows you to type in the dark. Touch panels are also quite satisfactory, its position seems a bit to the left, that is in response to the people's habit of typing .There have LED backlit touch-sensitive media buttons at the top of the keyboard, the backlight will light up when pressed to, and then slowly fade, the user does not have any interference with it , it also help extend battery life.

On the plus side, the addition of DisplayPort makes up for any complaints.With FireWire, three USB ports (including one combo USB/eSATA port), a media card reader, two headphone jacks, microphone jack, ExpressCard slot and Ethernet port you're well equipped ports wise.

I've had some experience getting that computer to run Linux smoothly. Generally NVIDIA cards are more highly prized for anything, and while the Radeon card is quit good I would not use it for video editing.

If you CAN get a mac, do. It's never a bargain, but always a value. Short of that I would think about that and getting an nvidia card installed.
