Another great place to shop for Cpu Fan products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Cpu Fan: Heat Sink Fans Heat sink fans are an important part of your CPU or the Central Processing Unit. The help in keeping the temperature of the processor to a defined level and do not allow it to heat when in use. A heat sink fan allows the CPU to work in optimum levels without getting heated. The latest heat sink fans or the CPU coolers as they are known as, are designed with the use of highly heat conductive copper and a larger, efficiently designed, heat-sink surface area to radiate heat far more effectively than standard heat sinks. These kind of fans are responsible in moving heat away from the CPU with ultimate efficiency, in order that they can be paired with slower spinning fans. Most of the latest heat sink fans are truly quiet and offer outstanding features: • The latest heat sink fans are large than the conventional fans and help to radiate more heat away from your CPU. • Most of the popular models use high efficiency copper either in the base or throughout the whole heat sink. • Large fans are capable of moving more air than the conventional fans as they spin fast moving more air. • The latest heat sink fans display high quality craftsmanship and also exhibit smoother fan bearings, efficient, smooth fan design and also solid, smooth, quality heat sink. There is a level of difference in the conventional heat sinks and the latest heat sinks. Most of the conventional CPU heat sink fans use a cheaper aluminum heat sink with some noisy, higher speed fans. Such high-speed fans are essential for conventional heat sinks in order to move enough air past the aluminum heat sink to keep the CPU cool enough. In contrast to conventional aluminum CPU heat sinks, the modern CPU heat sinks are made from slightly expensive, but much more heat conductive copper. The use of copper has resulted in making a quiet CPU heat sink. Copper known to be twice as efficient at conducting heat compared to aluminum. With the success from the use of copper in the modern heat sinks, it is near to impossible to imagine quietly cool today's higher speed, hotter CPUs without using copper in the making. Today's computer processors generate more heat compared to the old processors. Therefore it is very necessary to choose a heat sink fan, which is compatible with the latest processors and at the same time absolutely noise free. You can find these heat sink fans in all the leading computer hardware stores. In fact the latest computers are coming equipped with such heat sinks, which are responsible in keeping your CPU working in an optimum level and cutting off the unnecessary noise. If you are tiered of the buzzing of your old CPU heat sink, you can better opt for the not so highly priced copper based heat sink fans. About the Author Looking for more information on Heat Sink Fans check out www.Heatsinkfans.net your guide to Heat Sink Fans. How do you set up a CPU fan? Okay well I moved my computer and i think one of the CPU fan's wire unhooked. So when I turned on my computer it says "CPU Fan Not Detected". I open to look inside to fine one wire dangling out (the wire has a bunch of colors on it). So I have no idea where this wire goes. Where is the plug in for this wire?
If it has 3 prongs, it goes into a little slot on the motherboard. If it has 4 slots, it can go into any one of the open 4slots opposite of the fans. The Top 5 budget laptops of March 2010 Thanks for visiting!
