Why Consider A Loft Conversion?

If you are thinking about what to do about a growing family or a house that is bursting at the seams, what are your options?

You could, of course, put your house on the market and start looking around for something larger. You can put a wide range of rooms, windows and skylights into a roof these days.  Your attic space covers the whole of your property and is generous enough for a large bedroom and bathroom.  Or maybe you want more storage and a playroom that your children will love, and will keep their clutter away from your living area.  Perhaps you need a quieter area to do your own work, away from the mayhem of the family.  A loft with specially designed windows to maximise light makes a wonderful studio.  If your home is big enough, your loft could even house a self contained flat, with living area, kitchen and bathroom. 

Whatever type of rooms you select, a well designed and top quality loft conversion will add value to your property: up to 15% is the estimate of the Federation of Master Builders.  Many people these days are choosing this route, rather than watch their investment in the cost of selling and buying trickle away.

How to check validity of explicit type conversion in c?

I have a struct called myblock and I am given a long int for the memory address. I do (something like):
long address;
...
struct myblock block1 = (struct myblock *)address;

This is one of the disadvantage when passing the address and accessing variables in C.
You can have a identification field as a last field in the structure myblock. Assign it to a constant value. After assigning, check the value if it is as expected, you can make sure that it is pointed to myblock instance.
Not only an extra field, any field validation will do.
