HP/Compaq System Recovery?

I have an HP/Compaq nx9010 laptop. I want to perform a system recovery, but I do not have the recovery cds. I tried pressing F10 and F11 when the Windows logo appears, nothing happens. Please someone help me do a system recovery.

Assuming your laptop has a built in recovery partition then you will be able to run a system recovery by hitting the F11 key immidiately after powering the system on.

If it works you will want to use the advanced option and do a full format (especially if you are doing this because of a virus on your system), beware however all....and i mean all of your data will be lost. The F11 option reloads the unit to its out of the box state. Good luck.
