what would cause two different CDRW drives to work good until they run for about 1.5 audio/video discs?

the discs read fine on another system but after they play for about 1.5 times they won't even eject with commands in win media player on the system where they were created. A clone USING A Soyo board and all worked fine for a few months after upgrading to WinXP. Reinstalled WinXP to a different dir and same problem occurs. Kinda lost on this one. H E L P.

dont know if this will help with the cdrw's you're already having trouble with, but for new ones here's a suggestion. go to control panel, switch to classic view if you don't see what i talk about next (its available to the left of the control panel screen)

go to services, scroll down until you see "imapi cd-burning com service". right click and go to properties. change it from manual to disabled. then click stop. click apply. I did this when i installed xp, and have never had a problem with cd-rws.

as a possible solution (ie dont know if it will work)for the discs you already burned, trying going to options in media player and unchecking download lisences automatically in the privacy section. xp is very anti piracy, and it may be disabling the disc because of an invalid lisence.
