It consists of a Micro – ATX motherboard in order to scrimp on space, making it a really mini system. Comparatively this model is not as attractive as many others in its genre. The Aestek liquid cooler above the Central Processing Unit is the part that covers the over clocked core i7 processor. The Puget Mini functions on a very uncomplicated operating system. Other than this, the model has a Blu-ray player optical drive for watching movies and also for burning CDs or DVDs. The Puget Deluge Mini is priced at about $2,800 which you could say is neither too high nor too low. ASUS M3N78-EM - motherboard - micro ATX - GeForce 8300 Please tell me if this is a good one for future or if i should go for another one with all the features. Planning to get a 7.1 Creative and 1 GB Pci express graphics card, i don't care about the pricing but need to make sure this doesn't give me any problems or doesn't gets outdated very soon.
So far the suggestions are very generic as the people don't seem to understand what exactly AM3 compatible or Hybrid SLI mean, shouldn't comment on something they know nothing about. This is a very good motherboard and its expandable for future upgrades (AM3). Phenom processors are AM2+ sockets, this motherboard can also take the newest AM3 socket CPU's. As for the person making onboard video cards seem like a bad thing should learn what Asus's advancement in SLI technology can do. This motherboard has, "Hybrid SLI", capabilities, meaning any SLI video card you add in the future can get linked to the one already onboard giving you dual GPU capabilities from only a single GPU slot. For those who do not know about multicore GPU* (graphics processing unit); new video advancements allows linking more than one videocard together to make multi core GPU's on a single motherboard. nVidia and ATI both have a version of this technology. nVidia's version is called "SLI", and ATI's version is called, "Crossfire". Normally if you decide you want a multi-core GPU, you'd have to take future expansion slots into account prior to purchasing, and power requirements and even heat exhaust (cooling), but nVidia work around this is the Hybrid SLI system. No great amount of slots needed, no extra fans (noise and power factors). Simple plug-and-go upgrading. Aside from all that, this motherboard has 5 onboard SATA connectors, as well as 6 built in USB ports with 3 headers for another 6, thats a total of 12 USB ports. An external SATA port (eSATA), as well as DVI, HDMI, and a regular VGA port. This is a very cost efficient and excellent motherboard for future advancements. The only difference between this and a motherboard actually built for AM3 processors is the type of memory it can take. Most AM3 socket motherboards that I know of are being release with 3 or 6 DDR3 RIMM slots for 6 or 12 Gigs of tri-channel memory. This motherboard only has support for DDR2 dual channel memory. *multi-core GPU has an average of 35% increase in performance over single core (single card or onboard) video cards.
