you can do either of these:
straight to modem(direct connection)
straight to router (indirect connection)
or wi fi (indirect connection)

the modem is faster, by far, it is 3 screens ahead of router time, but if you want to play on your modem you wont be able to get on to your comp, and will need to disconnect x box cable then plug in your comp cable
